From bright Visions to brilliant realities – The journey of InterLED

InterLED was founded in 2010 by Lars Ranzenberger on Mallorca, with a vision to bring LED to the island. In 2011, Gita Timm joined the company, playing a pivotal role in building the young startup. As Lars' right-hand, she stood by him through all the highs and lows that come with innovation. Together, they became pioneers in LED lighting on the island, setting new standards.

InterLED’s early days were centered around a clear focus: LED strips. The very first client? A bar on Playa de Palma – the starting point of an exciting journey. What began with simple LED strips quickly evolved into a sought-after premium provider of custom lighting solutions. Year by year, the company grew, expanding its portfolio to include exclusive garden, façade, interior, and pool lighting designs.

In 2018, InterLED took a bold, creative leap: StarLED pools. These unique pools, projecting a starry sky onto the pool’s floor, are bespoke creations that merge functionality with art. Each project is a masterpiece, leaving customers in awe and setting new benchmarks.

Tragedy struck unexpectedly in 2021, when Lars passed away. Gita took over as CEO and led the company forward with determination. Under her leadership, the portfolio expanded to include professional lighting design, using cutting-edge computer technology for 3D visualizations. This allows clients to get a realistic sense of their future lighting during the planning phase.
